Re: Help growing Gaultheria procumbens

The only place I have seen it growing is near Covington, In. on a steep
slope in deep shade below a pine and Amalanchier forest with a moss carpet.
I have tried to grow it in pure peat moss underneath my blueberries which do
great. No tap water, only rain water with RO water. The thing I think it
needs is coolness besides acidity. Where are the nurseries that propagate
them? I have had better luck with trailing arbutus.
