Hi Don,
I've been growing Deinanthe bifida for a couple of years now in
deep shade under some pine trees. The soil has been amended and
the area receives regular irrigation by way of sprayers (too much,
probably, as many plants can't handle the excessive moisture there).
It does seems to handle wet well and has grown nicely over the years,
although it could probably use a little more light. Flower production
has never been phenomenal.
Now, whether or not that helps with D. caerulea... :)
Chris
P.S. Did anyone answer my question about Packera aurea? We had some mail
server hiccups, and if so, I missed them...
