We have a lot of things blooming but the forecast is for 32 degrees Sunday night so I dont know if spring is here or not! Waiting till I can put the 60 indoor plants out on the deck - then it will be spring for sure. We have had hellebores blooming for at least a month. Now daffodils are almost through, and we have grape hyacinth, creeping phlox, candytuft, buds on the Va. Bluebells and shooting star and tree peonies, flowers coming out on the peach, cherry, magnolia and japonica. My epimedium sulphureum usually is semi-evergreen but this past winter we had a warm spell followed immediately by near-zero so it died back completely to the ground. I am relieved to see it emerging again with buds. One of the collection of other species is also showing growth, maybe the others come out later I hope. It will be interesting to see whether the so-called hardy begonia really is. My clematis all seem to have survived too. Yay!
