Hi Rhonda,
Try Lobelia ( which does need moisture), Phlox paniculata, perennial
Gereniums, Telekia, Gentiana, Echinacea, many Astilbes, Aquilegias,
Primulas, some Solidago, Tradescantia, and Violas for the colors you want
and the conditions of your site.
