Re: plant suggestions for filtered sunlight

Driving through a side street in Port Townsend, an old seaport town, I
saw an old claboard house, with faded creme paint, blue trim on small
paned windows and a cottage front garden full of orange butter yellow
and deep carmine red wallflowers and blue muscari under a few ancient
trees. These same wallflowers have seeded themselves on the tall cliffs
by the water that I pass going in and out of town. 
The whole garden probably came from a few seed and bulb packets...
