Surfinias vs Rabbits

Hello!

know Surfinia petunias should not be called perennials, although they say
they're kind of 'hardy' (at least in my Z9 and Z10). My question is if you
know these plants (or common petunias I guess) are loved by rabbits, which
are a pest over here. Do these little $%Ç#2@ relish on petunias as if they
were caviar?. I want to plant a large bed with Surfinias, and wonder if
they should be specially protected. Rabbits here enjoy rose's new growth,
even holly tender leaves!... but obn teh other hand they won't touch irises
or daylilies... what about petunias???
