The owner of a nursery told me that the blue passion flower attracts
caterpillars and they make their cocoons on it. He said the caterpillars
will eat part of the vine, but the plant will survive. It would be nice for
the butterflies to emerge and be on a plant that gives them substinence. I
think this vine would look pretty wrapped in a Buddleia of white or pale
lavender. I haven't seen the advice he gave me in print, but I will soon
know because his advice sold a vine!
