Cedar or redwood (2 inch) are a definite must if you dont want to do it
again in 4 or 5 years.Make sure that you select boards that have a minimum
of sapwood(the light colored stuff on the outside of the tree-otherwise you
might as well use pine or somesuch thing). 3/4"rebar at least 12" into the
ground depending on the properties of your soil. Rock walls would look
great, but take time - but if you've got the rock.......
