Hi, Ann --
Don't remember where I've been reading about RR ties & treated landscape
timbers but there has been a lot of negative comments about using them in &
around vegetable gardens. They say the chemicals leach into the soil & then
into our food. Their comments about this are very strong suggesting that such
use should be illegal!!
I have RR ties around my pool with strawberries next to them on one side & I
don't think they have done as well since the RR ties were put in. But,
perhaps, its because the pool took up a lot more of my time.
