    I think you have a wonderful idea going here... One site that I find
particularly helpful is http://pathfinder.com/vg/TimeLife/... it has a
searchable plant database.  I originally heard of it on one of these
lists, and bookmarked it!

    I also use metacrawler quite a bit, as well as highway61 at www.
highway61.com, another multi-engine search facility.  It also has links
to GardenWeb, a gardening web ring that usually has interesting stuff,
and nature.net, a collection of outdoor-topic forums.

    Names?  Plantfind; Plant-o-pedia; Garden Varieties; Not-your-typical
Garden Variety; GardenSeek; PlantSearch; PlantSeek; Plant ID and More;
IMP (ID Mysterious Plants)...
