A little bit of backgound on this -
"P.pinifolius 'Mersea Yellow' is of English origin, from Mersea Island
in Essex. It can lay claim to be the best yellow of any penstemon - a
medium shade of daffodil with good substance and texture." -
This was taken from The Gardener's Guide to Growing Penstemons published
by David & Charles.
