Hi, Lee...
What is your average annual rainfall there? We get about 18 to 19 inches
here, usually very little in August. Things can get pretty dry. I have a
raised bed in an awkward, hard-water-spot next to the county road where I
experiment with drought-tolerant plants, some of them from High Country
Gardens in Santa Fe.
