A question for all of you -- I've noticed that many of the bulbs this
year have been leaning, including daffodils which are generally pretty
erect. Any ideas? Too much warmth? Too much food? I feed the bulb
areas each fall...any similar experiences?
/ I don't know if too much food could cause this, but I absolutely never
feed my bulbs and if this neglect causes any ill effect it doesn't show.
Mine bloom and multiply and fill the earth, etc. without benefit of added
nutrition. However, I do try to remember to give them some bulb food when
I plant them.

Valerie, I generally divide alliums in late summer or after foliage
has faded, whichever comes first.
