Where are you in KY? I'm in Louisville and I can tell you that lamb's ears
will work just fine. Get the non-flowering kind because after flowering,
the plant looks kinda shaggy and foul. It's a tenacious spreader in my
garden and has shallow roots. I think that the concrete barrier of your
driveway will keep it in check, though. It stays nice and silver all
season long. Stays low.
If you want a dynamite combo that looks fresh all season, combine it with
white feverfew. Feverfew will bloom all summer with dime-sized daisy-like
blooms. Grows to about 12".
Silver and white will look cool in the dog days of our summers and reflects
the moon at night.
