Just keep digging. I've inadvertently gotten rid of a beautiful stand of
red monarda I had by digging and planting a rose there, but also because
there is obedient plant in the bed (phystogia) which seems to have won the
"king of the thugs" contest between it and monarda.

For mine is just a little old fashioned garden where the
flowers come together to praise the Lord and teach all
who look upon them to do likewise.
