Kris-
I can't help but wonder if we aren't trying to identify the same plant.
Mine was a gift in a bag of goodies from a far-away friend. It too
grows like a ground cover (maybe 5" high), has small 4-petal white
flowers (looks like a tiny dogwood flower) and fuzzy leaves. The leaves
are vaguely holly-shaped but narrower and pale green. It grows for me
in mostly shade, soemwhat moist soil. The flowers are wonderfully
bright (it's blooming now) and I love the plant. I just don't know what
it is!
