RE: Agastache

The agastache I grew last year, Heather Queen, was my first experience with the plant, and it bloomed quite nicely. I have hopes that the variety I planted this spring will, as well, since the plants are growing so vigorously.

As for wintering over...it's kind of strange. I planted them in a single border, in 3 or 4 different places. It appears to me that 2 of the "patches" survived the winter, but not the others. And of the two that have come back, the foliage of one has a much more purple cast than the other. I'm fairly certain that the temperature and the rainfall were the same (we're talking about 5 feet apart), maybe a tiny difference in the amount of sunlight...who knows? Guess that's what makes gardening so interesting!
