I LOVE this plant. It is also, as they say, "architectural"--great height.
I too have mine in a very dry area in full sun and it flourishes. It is a
tall coarse plant, but the many many flowers make up for it. Yes, it does
self-sow, but it is not thuggish and they can be easily rogued out. I like
to dig up a couple and spread the Inula love to friends.
