Re: larkspur

larkspurs ! ! ! !
oh to have larkspurs growing in MY garden, a few years ago I dicided
I wanted larkspurs because my sister-in-law has them in her garden and I
just had to have some.
soooooo scince that time I have planted at least 1 zillion seed in
the spring, in the fall , in every location known to man.
Well the subject of larkspurs came up on this list and I talked to a
lady that has larkspurs with out even trying ! ! ! she said that she
would take a handful of seed and just sow them on top of the snow.
so early, early this year when it was cold here in zone 7 (we don't
have a lot of snow here, lucky to have any) I had about 12 packages of
larkspur seed and I mixed all of them together and sowed them, and low
and behold I have larkspurs ........... probable about 2 dozen plants,
but they are larkspurs nevertheless.
I am happier with my 2 dozen plants than I would be with a new dimond
ring. when winter comes this year I'm gonna plant larkspur every
where. I think they are a beautiful plant. wish me luck

Donna in NE Mississippi zone 7
