Re: Rugosa Roses-aphids

Ladies and/or Gentlemen

I have a big problem that I know nothing about. ROSES I have very
few roses..... I think they are beautiful, but require so much
attention, however I do have 3 that is considered by folks in this
area as Old Timey Roses. I got this bush at a old house that we
purchased a couple of years ago. This house is probable well over 100
yrs old (previously owned by my husbands grandparents), but I have no
idea how old the rose bush is. I moved it my home last fall and it is
beautiful. it is covered with buds, and I have some blooms right now.
My problem is...... today I was out inspecting each and ever plant (my
daily routine) and noticed that I have insects.....I don't have a clue
as to what they might be. they looked brown and have eaten one of my
buds.
I could call my local nursery, but I find that there are more experts
on this list, and I can get more than "1" oponion.....does that sound
selfish
this is a beautiful rose bush. does anyone remember an old rose
called "The Seven Sisters"? I think that this might be that rose.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!! Donna in NE Mississippi (zone 7)
