Climbing rose question

Hi listers,
My husband has built a wonderful fence around the back of our property
and each side had a gate with a latticework and beams that we would like to
grow either a climbing rose or a vine on. The sites get some sun, but not
full sun. I was wondering if anyone knew any good rose websites with
photographs or ones that give information about climbers in
particular....also, would you advise planting one on each side of the
arbor/gate? Having never grown roses before, I need some help! Thanks in
advance.
