Susan & gentiana cruciata


Hello Susan,
	Gentiana cruciata is the Cross leaf Gentian. If you look down on the
mature leaves you will see that they form a cross. Easy to grow Gentian
that blooms in early summer. Just give it a touch of shade, well drained
decent soil and mulch. It gets a bit of a bad rap with the English rock
gardening gardening literature. Far too easy to grow and the blooms are
only pleasing.... 
	I think you will like the plant. Try a yellow blooming Toadlily with it to
help bring out the blue trumpets of the Gentian.
