Re: Arum italicum 'pictum'

Good Evening, Everyone --
Just received a new plant in the Garden Center - Arum italicum 'pictum.'
Very nice foliage, arrowhead-shaped leaves.
I had never heard of it so looked it up in my Taylor's Handbook and the Net.
It has a very unusual characteristic -- it goes dormant in summer!!
Info states to "use it with perennials that disappears in winter, both for
the decorative effect and to keep strollers out of the planted areas."
Does this mean that here in zone 5, it will stay green all winter?
Wouldn't that be nice? :-)
Find that hard to believe.
Surely it must die back during the severest months of winter?

Soooo, is anyone familiar with this plant and can give me some first-hand
experience?

Thanks again for your help and
Best wishes to you all --
