Re: Edgings

Hello Devon. I like edgings that won´t grow too high. My favorites are all
kinds of Thyme, Thymus; variegated (green/white), golden and variegated
(gold/green), T. coccineus, very thight clumps with bright cerise flowers
and of course the felted grey T. languinosus. They all thrive in dry
contitions, need little maintenance and look good all through the winter
(if it won´t get too wet). To keep the thymes company I have many kinds of
low growing Dianthus and Campanulas. For spring flowering Aubrieta, Phlox
subulata and Iberis sempervirens (wich someone else mentioned) are nice
plants.
