Which proves that he lives in the Midwest....there ain't no such thing as
"rich *black* dirt" in MD......it's all basically red - rich or poor.  The
deep, black soils of the Midwest are a thing to treasure.  I remember when
I was a child and we'd go back to Iowa to visit my Mother's folks, she'd
load up a bushel basket with that rich black Iowa soil and carry it home in
the trunk of the car - much to my Father's disgust!
