I think you misunderstood. Crocosmia really doesn't
like my clay soil. I built some raised beds this year, filled them
with more amenable stuff, and so, hopefully, my next attempt at 'Lucifer'
will be more successful. ;-)
Pity it won't grow in my front woodland bed alongside the azalea
'Satan' (bright crimson). That would certainly give the pamphlet-pushers
something to think about before approaching my porch!
