I should have remembered this - I had a couple of attacks of gout (in a big
toe joint) about 20 yrs. ago and colchicine was what I took. I remember the
prescription said to take "until the pain went away or until vomiting
started". Some effect!
Now, back to perennials, has anyone grown colchicum or autumn crocus? I
should grow it as a memorial to the #$&* gout.
