It probably will to some extent.  However, you already have the tradition of 
interest in new plant introductions which has never caught on with the 
majority of American gardeners.  A flat of marigolds, a flat of petunas, a 
flat of impatiens, and some bright red geraniums, and most Americans have 
their summer gardens.
