The Husker Red Penstemon went crazy this year seeding into the gravel paths
in between the raised beds. I had to pull out seedlings and pot them up for
friends to keep the walks open and useable. They all seemed to have foliage
just as red as the original plants. Certainly wasn't a case of controlled
pollination--just bees and bugs and butterflies and birds all over the
place...
