OT - Pond muck

Hi Group,

The retention pond in the back of our property has dried out due to the heat
and lack of rain this year. I am digging out some muck and dumping it where
I want a new raised perennial bed. The stuff seems a bit compact and heavy,
but nice and dark. What would you suggest I add to make it a nice garden
loam? Sand?
