I would make three. I never got there in the spring season so they may have
better quality plants at that time. They are very expensive when you can buy
the same plant in the the same area for much less cost. Also White Flower
does not deal in newest cultivars. The McGourtys of Hillside were in the
same general area and always had interesting plants plus great display
gardens. Unfortunately for gardeners today, the McGourtys have closed the
nursery but not the gardens. They have written several good books on
perennials.

Many years ago White Flower was a pioneer in new cultivars and high quality
plants when local garden centers had little to choose from. Connecticut is
full of perennial sellers now that have both general selections and some
specialists. The best woody plant nursery on the East coast is there
(Twombley), a center of miles of roads of plants. White Flower, I think
rides along on it's old reputation, very good fifty years ago but not in
keeping with the times.

Isabelle, you have Storey Nursery near you and the costs would be much lower,
a family owned business. There is also a seedling nursery calling itself the
Dutchess County Botanic Garden in your area that is a wonderful source of
seed grown everything, huge inventory and family owned. There is a big
sell-off sometime this month, there name is,I believe Santini. The Phantom
Gardener on Route 9 also carries many hard to find plants and will also have
a summer sale.
