Re: trees changing color


Noticed a few days ago that the trees appear to be changing colors.. or dieing off in the forest preserve I drive through daily to get to work. Way to early for that here!

It's not uncommon to see this happening in some species of maple (Acer), particularly in August It is symptomatic of a syndrome called "maple decline" and could certainly be exacerbated by drought. You can see more information at:
