Well, Donna:
For August, Philadelphia reports "0.37 inch of rain. I can tell you, less
fell in Bucks County.
And July was no better...41 days of temps above 90, the record being 1991
with 53 days. I imagine the green industry loves this as a whole bunch of
replacement purchases are in the pipeline. And, naturally, they can water.
Looking reasonably good for a drought are
euphorbias, heucheras, carex, epimediums, hosta, sedums, polygonatums,
thymes, miscanthus, pennisetums, panicums, iris cristata, artemisia, Lonicera
baggesens gold, rudbeckias and echinacea and probably more .
Rain promised ..30% chance of a storm...for about the third consecutive day
with nada!
Cia for now, Walter
