I'm about 100 miles north and we got spanked, too.  Only two inches of
rain in my area overnight, but I've never seen such intense
lightning.  One strike hit a tree at my brother's and caused the tree
to fall on his 
house - taking the power lines with it.  Guess what I'm doing today?

It IS lovely to see everything so green now, though.
