I love it. Gives me new use for my "shop vac" which I don't have a "shop" for.

Subject: Efficent Slug Control
This morning I was looking at all the leaves on the ground from the
drought stressed trees in my hosta garden. I decided to use my leaf
vacuum to suck the leaves out of the garden. In the process of doing
this, I put the vacuum nozzle over the hosta to remove the tree leaves on
the crown and discovered that under all these leaves were a lot of slugs.
They were being protected by the tree leaves and enjoying the hostas that
I was so faithfully watering during the drought.
I also discovered that if I pushed the vacuum nozzle over the slug, I
vacuumed them up with the leaves.
No mess, no goo, no more slugs. I dumped the leaves and slug parts into
the compost. Nothing like a little fresh protein to help the leaves
compost faster.
The only problem with this idea is that I occasionally vacuumed up a name
tag, but it was worth it.
