Re: Silene

Ceres, original plant did finally start going downhill after blooming its
head off all last summer, but the location wasn't the best for it. I bought
7 more this spring from Green Mountain Transplants. They were thin and long
and flowered when they arrived in 3 inch pots but I cut them back and potted
them to quarts. They are all looking great now filling out gallons and some
are blooming again. I think Green Mtn charges $2.25 for them which is in
line with many other wholesalers that are willing to deal with smaller
quantities like 25s and 32s. I like that GM lets you mix and match. The
plant is out there; I don't know why it hasn't been picked up by other
growers.
