Re: Echinacea 'Doubledecker'

What I have read about the Doubledecker is that single blooms the first year and then the 2nd year it will have the single blooms with smaller blooms as a hat. So as it is named Double Decker. It looks really fun. Becky L.

Is anyone on the list growing Echinacea 'Doubledecker'? I grabbed one
this weekend from a nursery in Chicago because the flowers caught my
eye, but it doesn't look like the Doubledecker plants that I've seen.

This one almost looks more like a chrysanthemum:

Do the new flowers look like this instead? Or the first year's growth?
Or do I have the hottest new coneflower? ;)
