Hi guys,
I have another question about a plant that I've been growing for a
while, but I don't know what to call it.
It was originally billed as Symphytum 'Hidcote Blue' and seemed to
do well. One plant went to my parents' house in Chicago and another
went into the corner of my yard.
The next year my parents' plant went nuts and sent up blue-flowering
plants everywhere. Mine sent up new plants too (not as many), but
the flowers were pure white. Since then my blue-flowering plant has
died, but the corner is filled with lots and lots of these Symphytum.
They never get taller than 1' and have regular Symphytum blooms that
that are pure white. The plant has spread and created babies, but
not many compared to 'Hidcote Blue'.
It actually turned out pretty well because a patch of Brunnera
seeded there, so the white on blue looks much better than blue on
blue would have.
But the big question is this: what do I call it?
