Hi Chris - I love Schizophragma! Have one in my front garden learning to climb a tree. Planted it in fall of 2014, had a few blooms this year. In my old garden, I had one that took 6 years to get a blossom so guess it likes it better here. Wall I want to cover is roughly 6 feet wide, height maybe 15 or more feet. Need something kinda tidy as the garden bed there is only about 2 feet wide. Lil T Georgetown On z5 From: owner-perennials@hort.net <owner-perennials@hort.net> on behalf of Christopher P. Hi Lil, How big is the wall? One of my favorite vines is Schizophragma hydrangeoides, and the cultivar 'Moonlight' is even better: https://www.hort.net/gallery/view/hyd/schhymo The leaves have a silvery sheen to them, and in June-July large white fragrant flowerheads appear that are similar to Hydrangea blooms. I grow mine in shade, but I've seen amazing plantings in full sun as well. It might need some extra water until established, but after that they tend to be pretty drought tolerant.
