In regard to Deb's query-
I have Liatris-Gayfeather Alba- Liatris Spicata is how it is labelled, I keep
the plant markers until I can make more permanent ones!
It is a wonderful liatris, and mine does squirm around a lot! I stake with
a bamboo stake when it is about 3 feet tall, the bamboo kind of looks natural
and the flower stem quickly grows to cover the stake! I also used some brown
tulip leaves to 'tie' the stem to the stake! Talk about using everything in
your garden! Acutally found some bees, and butterflies humming around and
drinking from it this summer! Not sure if it is a good plant for butters and
bees, but they sure liked it this summer! Might it be that my "white liatris
is planted right behind my Black Knight buddelia??
Looks good there too!
