	John of Iowa--welcome to the perennials list.  After gardening
for 14 years in one location, we moved two years ago and so I could
really relate to the effort you described in your post.  One thing I
learned was that you can't really move a garden--you can only move some
plants!
	Do you also know about the alpine garden list and the general
gardens listserv?  There was a post awhile back and I can't remember
which of these lists (or maybe it was on perennials list) I saw it
on--anyway, it was from someone involved in a website for disabled
gardeners with tips on tool use and how to do some things in a less
physically demanding way, etc.  Maybe someone else here will recall the
reference and let you know more about it.
	I'm in what is called zone 5b here in east central Illinois, but
I loved your comment about being on the line between zones 4 and 5
because it seems that way here sometimes too.
	Tell us what you've got in bloom these days...that always starts
off an interesting thread with many others joining in...
