Re: Santolina

I have a santolina that I have had for three years. I am in z6 and was told
that lavender cotton is not hardy yet mine has come back each year. Last year
it was covered with flowers. I trimmed it back this spring and it came in
nice and full but I only had a few flowers. Don't know if the trimming had
anything to do with this or it was just an off year because of our drought.
But if I had to trim it, I would do it in early spring so any new growth will
harden off before the winter.
