Re: mini hosta


I think that your idea about astilbes mixed with Hosta is good.  I have
done that, however, I don't have just miniature hostas in the bed.  I have
some miniatures and some large in front of astilbes.  It is really nice.
In the Spring I have daffadils mixed in with the hostas.  They bloom before
the hostas come up.  Then the hostas cover them after they have bloomed and
the foliage is dying down.  Works well.
