Your posting on the subject was very interesting. I also grow some
perennials in pots. I also use the rubberized or plastic pots ranging from
6" to 2' in diameter. I've had a Sage Victoria for the past 3 or 4 years in
a large pot and treat it the same as though it was in the ground, perhaps
watering it more. I like the rubberized pots (fake terra cotta) because they
can stand the winter cold better than the real thing.
I have lots of pots on my deck and patio because my ground is primarily
clay. My gardens have all been replaced with top soil or the top soil was
piled on the ground in a mound! What a job! You bet I had help on that --
manly help.
I still plant some annuals but like the perennials that come up in the Spring
without having to buy so many annuals for all those pots.
