Here in Zone 4/5, blanketflowers(gaillardia), tickseed(coreopsis), blue
flax(linum), pincushion flower, coneflowers are flowering profusely. They look
pretty against the backdrop of a medium sized shrub, Bluebeard. Coralbells,
purple iceplant in the front of the flowering beds are blooming too, in the
company of some annuals- zinnias, petunias, cosmos, sweet alyssum, portulaca,
four o' clocks, morning glory vines. Some late daylilies, summer bulbs and roses
do very well at this time of the year.
Working on my butterfly bush, rose of sharon, clematis, trumpet vine for blooms
next
summer.
