Re: August is a hard month-buddelia

since you mentioned it-my black knight is just looking great here in st
Louis, but I have been wondering-Should I cut back in late October or early
November, mulch well as I usually do and  hope that our hard St Louis winters
won't freeze and kill it or leave alone and wait until spring to cut back? 
 I would hate to lose it!  I acutally have butterflies !!!
