I sort of approach Gurney's with a different attitude than other
mail order companies (ie., Heronswood). I use Gurney's for
volume and/or common things, mostly not perennials. I use them
for fruits and some woodys. I expect to lose about 1/3
predictably. They are always very nice about replacements.
I did get a bunch of common ferns, plumbago and a couple other
things this year. About 2/3 are doing very well. By all
reports I've had, that's about par.
