Re: Purchasing by catalog
My favorite mail order catalog for plants is Milaeger's Gardens in
Racine here in Wisconsin. Of course, the plants don't have to go very
far to get here to my garden, but I've been impressed with the packaging
and the plants. Their catalog is not extensive, but well done.
And although Jung's is in WI too, frequently plants I've received from
them are not well-rooted and seem too tender - not hardened off at all -
as though they were hastily transplanted in the pots they were mailed
in.
