Campanulas w/Shasta addendum for Jeanne

I bought several gallon containers of a "bushy" campanula called "Blue
Star". The plants are about 10 - 12" in height, very nice and full, or
rather, were... The flowers have died off, and the plant doesn't look
all that wonderful anymore. They've been in the ground a week, watered
well, and are in a sunny location. They're getting no more water than
anyone else - My pink phlox is about 2 feet tall, and blooming it's head
off, as are the Mullein, and Delphiniums. So, is the blue star a prima
donna and sulks when it's other plant comrads are blooming nicely?

Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong? <sigh>

thanks,

P.S. Jeanne, I couldn't stand the fact that my daisies died. I guess my
oldest (14) got tired of me telling anyone who'd stop and listen. He
said, "Mom, sounds like you were widowed or something..."

Soooo, he brings home a couple of bunches of silk daisies from a craft
store the other day, stuck them in the ground where the dead daisies had
bloomed for their short period of time, and told me to tell the
neighbors I was mistaken. They weren't Shastas, but rather Lazarus
daisies... They rose up again. <sigh> Smart alec kids...
