....another addition to ideas for shade plants....My favorite book
about shade gardening, which makes me very happy to have shade, rather
than just tolerating it, is The Natural Shade Garden by Ken Druse. In
there, I saw an amazing picture of what has to be one of my very
favorite plants, a bulb, fritillaria meleagris. It is a rather tiny
flower, but it is clearly purple and black checkerboard.....makes me
think that God has a sense of humor!
